Hand Carved Darts

Another popular feature available, is to Hand Carve two symmetrical, dart shaped sections from the front face of our Fireplace Beams.

If you wish to procure a Fireplace Beam to your own design we will be very glad to assist.

Additional Hand Carving

Additional carvings, such as crests, family emblems, or script are easily procured. Prices for this service are subject to quotation.

Surface Finishes

Brushing - by which the grain of the wood is accentuated, making the product appear more textured.

Charring - by which the colour of the Beam is randomly darkened to accentuate the character.

Bressumer Back

Some fireplaces benefit from the installation of beams with Bressumer Backs. This simple but traditional feature has a 45 ° throat with tapered ends, encourages hot air and smoke from an open fire to travel up your chimney and not into your room.
