Long Beam Casings

Blacksmith’s Strap In Beaten Black Steel

Oakmasters can supply Beam Casings to most reasonable dimensions of width, height, and length. However, if you require a Casing longer than 4.0 metres (13’), it will usually be necessary for us to construct it in two sections. We often manufacture a Hand Wrought Decorative Steel Strap in traditional blacksmith style. This not only covers the join, but also serves as an attractive feature.

Closed End Casing

Customers sometimes wish to be able to see one or more ends. In such circumstances we carefully create end grain features as shown above.

Stop Chamfers

Stop Chamfers are a popular addition to many of our products. They can be carved to any length along the Beams and can incorporate several variations of Stop.

Surface Finishes

Brushing – by which the grain of the wood is accentuated, making the product appear more textured.

Charring – by which the colour of the Beam Casing is randomly darkened to accentuate its character.
